Hi There!

Thanks for your patience as I get Part FIVE of Lobstering in the Florida Keys 2011 underway. We have TONS of pictures in this last post of the boating guide! I hope you enjoy them. But before you check out the pictures, I wanted to let tell you about the Real Estate Market and Facts I just posted:

There has been a lot of news about our area, so I decided to gather all the facts together, so you can see what is happening in Southwest Florida for yourself! If you have any questinos about this information – don’t hesitate to give me a call (800) 741-3757.
Alright, now on to the fun… The next morning we woke up to this..… Just an incredible beautiful morning.. Check out the photos just outside my room and around the property..

Is it not just an absolutely amazing place. It is so tranquil and peaceful. You have to experience it for yourself. It is called the Coconut Palm Inn. It is in a great location. Close to shopping, restaurants, food stores. There is a boat ramp right next door to drop your boat in the water.

Check out their website:  www.CoconutPalmInn.com

and check this out …

See I told you this place is awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good golly, trying to wake up these kids and get on the water is like pulling teeth. I guess this is Teens today. Once I said the boat was leaving in 10 minutes, they finally got up and ready 🙂

We hit the water – WOW… the air was crisp and cooler than normal, there was a slight breeze, the sky was blue, blue, blue. We headed to some other Lobster spots where I knew we would do well. I am not going to bore you with a bunch of words, just enjoy the photos 🙂 …

Is this not one of the most beautiful places you have seen. The water is so clear, the sky so blue. It just does not get any better than this, unless you have a big fat Lobster in your net..Momma Caught a Lobster….Check it out…..

As it turns out this was a really great spot. We found all kinds of Lobster, which Many were shorts and we through them back of course.  I was towing Wade over a spot and I heard a loud.. Ahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh through his snorkel. I looked back and I see Wade towing behind the boat with feet high in the air. I started thinking what in the world is Wade squealing about. Once I pulled him a little farther, I circled around to see what was up. He said Dad very funny!!!!!!! Exclaimed  Wade. I said What, Again, Very Funny DAD!!!!! I said what? Wade said Dad you Pulled me over a massive 9 to 10 foot Shark. I said Wade no way, He said , Yes Dad it was.. Ha, Ha, Ha, we got a good laugh afterwards.. There was a huge, massive Nurse Shard laying on the bottom near some rubble Wade was going to go down on.

We wanted to try one more spot where you need scuba tanks. Since Wade is a certified Scuba diver and so am I, we put on our tanks and headed to the bottom with a dive flag teathered to me so the boat could follow us. We saw several shorts, but no keepers. It was great fun…

We did really good catching Lobster throughout the day and the kids wanted to go and feed the Tarpon at Robbies. So we loaded up and headed to Robbies to feed the Tarpon and see a buddy of mine Joe who is a Charter boat captain there. Joe can take you out Dolphin, Tuna, Wahoo, Sailfish, Grouper, Yellow Tail, Snapper, whatever kind of fishing you want and he is great. He will even take you out Lobstering.. MMMM 🙂

Check out Robbies website…. www.robbies.com/offshore

Robbies has everything, boat rentals, Kayak rentals, jet skis, great food, awesome atmosphere. Everything you could want and of course hand feeding the Tarpon, It is a blast and the kids love it J Enjoy the photos…

What a long fantastic, amazing,  fun filled ,beautiful day!!!!! We decided to head home and you got, clean the Lobster.  As soon as we hit the doc the girls went to the room to get ready for dinner and the boys cleaned the bugs. We did get some great photos first. Check them out…

Wade took a liking to his Lobster buddy. I had to convince Wader, “Son you gotta twist his tail off, we are gonna eat him.” I think Wade was thinking something else. Look at the photo and you tell me …

It took awhile, But Wader did come to his senses and did what he had to do..

We got done cleaning the Lobsters  just in the nick of time, cause there was a big rain storm coming..

Wow, it is so neat to watch these storms come rolling in, the air temperature drops 15 sometimes 20 degrees, the lightning is flashing all over the skies, the lightning bolts are dropping from the heavens, the thunders sounds like loud bombs going off, shaking all the windows in the building. Then suddenly as it starts, it is gone. The air is has a crisp clean smell. Everything is so quiet and calm. The birds start to chirp again, the squirrels come out of the trees. Words cannot describe what it is like.

All in all it was a fabulous Mini Lobster Season in the Florida Keys. Everyone had Blast!!!!!  It was a safe, fun, amazing time. If you have never done this, you have got to do it with the family or just you and your significant other.

Before I sign off, I want to remind you all make time to smell the roses. Time goes by so fast, way too fast. Make the time now to set your vacation time with the kids, grandkids, family, friends.  Like NIKE says , JUST DO IT!!!!!

Till next time.. Make it a great week and even better weekend!!!!
