Posted by Shane On June 26th

Hello again, I hope everyone is doing great!!

I have a great event for you to go this weekend (Sunday) Yes, Father’s day.

Head over by boat or by car to the 14th Annual Taste of the Beach on Main Street next to Salty Sam’s Marina. If you are coming by boat, I just got permission from Matt Hanson one of the owners of Salty Sam’s Marina and Parrot Key to let you dock at Salty Sam’s Marina. You will need to dock at either Dock A or Dock B. Please hail the Dock Master on Channel 16 or Channel 17 and the Dock Master will help you find a spot to dock you boat. Matt said there should be a dock hand to assist you as well.

The Joint At Cape Harbour

Posted by Shane On June 19th

Hello everyone, Hope you all had a great weekend. I am going to mix it up a little this week. I have had several requests of things to do on the weekdays because not everyone has the weekends off.

You have heard me talk about Rum Runners at Cape Harbour before. Take your boat as if you were going to Rum Runners at Cape Harbour. You can dock your boat right there in front of Rum Runners. Walk across the parking lot between the two towers (Condominiums) and look to your left, you will see a really cool place called The Joint. The Joint has a really neat atmosphere you will enjoy. You can dine inside or sit outside and overlook the marina and all the boats.

Doc Ford’s Rum Bar And Grill

Posted by Shane On June 5th

I have got another great place to go to by boat after a day of boating and fishing or just relaxing on the beach. You may or may not have heard of Doc Ford’s Rum Bar and Grill on Ft. Myers Beach. It just recently opened. It is where the Bridge Restaurant used to be for years. This is a great place to go to and try different types of food and drink, such as the Banana Leaf Snapper or their Island Mojito’s drink.

Doc Ford’s offers a great atmosphere. You can dine inside in the air conditioning or dine out side on the deck and enjoy the expansive views of the bay and Shrimp boats.
